Thursday Thoughts – Fluffy to Fabulous – 3 Tips for Embracing You

Motivation to go from feeling fluffy to fabulous

I’m going through a break-up. I need to do this for me. I’m breaking up with the extra six pounds I’ve “somehow” gained. I lost them once before, but they have returned home to nest. I’m feeling fluffy.

It’s time to turn things around (again). It’s time to go from fluffy to fabulous, six pounds to sexy (whatever this looks like for you). Anybody with me? Perhaps six pounds is not your goal, maybe you just want to feel healthy. Let’s do it.

Take my fluffy to fabulous challenge. Make it all about embracing you. Think about what that looks like for you.

Here are 3 tips for embracing you...

1.      Improve fitness level – if you’re working to improve your fitness level, celebrate the small successes along the way. Reward yourself with a non-food item
2.      Don’t tear yourself down if you stray from your goal(s) – success comes from not giving up. Realize that you may need to do something different to reach your goal, but don’t give up. I’m talking from experience. As we get older, our metabolism changes and we can’t eat the way we used to 10 years ago.

I exercise five times a week but became frustrated because my weight was up. My thought was that I workout diligently, but I’m stuck. I was stuck. It was because I wasn’t being mindful about what I was eating. I knew I needed to do something differently.

When the fitness studio I attend begin a new challenge, I signed up right away. This is my way of holding myself accountable and also have the support of others experiencing the same journey. Our “Little Black Dress” challenge is a 60-day challenge of which we’re into day 4.

3.      Say encouraging thins about yourself – find something positive to say about yourself. Every day will not be perfect, but finding something good about the day and about yourself can sure make things better.

Fluffy to Fabulous. What will you do to improve your health?
